Christmas Outreach 2016 is a Family Event

FAQ

What Is The Christmas Outreach?

It’s part of our DNA at Liquid Church to serve others. We like to say that serving our neighbors-in-need is the heartbeat of our church. That’s why we’re hosting this Christmas Outreach.

The Christmas Outreach will take place across 7 locations in 6 counties (Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Union) on Saturday, December 3rd. The activity at each location is the same. Together, we are packing a record-breaking 500,000 holiday meals to serve our neighbors-in-need in New Jersey.

Who Can Serve At The Christmas Outreach?

You can! Everyone is welcome to serve at our Christmas Outreach. While Liquid Church is hosting this event, we like to welcome friends and visitors to serve alongside us.

In fact, we’d ask that you spread the word! Please invite family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us! This is a family-friendly outreach and volunteers of all ages and stages are welcome. The only requirement is that parents serve alongside their children that are ages 6 and under.

So, invite your daughter’s dance class or your son’s basketball team. Tell your hairdresser, mechanic, and barista about this! We want to serve our community with our community…so don’t forget to spread the word!

Is There Childcare Provided?

There is no childcare provided for the Christmas Outreach. Instead, we are encouraging parents to serve with their children. This is a family friendly event and children are able to be a part of the day and serve!

FYI – children 6 and under must serve alongside their parents!

Can I Serve At Any Outreach?

You may serve at any of our 7 Christmas Outreach locations. Simply find the location that’s a fit for you and sign-up to serve!

Do I Need To Register To Serve?

We do require all volunteers to register to serve, so we can prepare for you… but it will just take a couple of minutes!

What Should I Wear?

We’d suggest you get in the holiday spirit and wear something that says “Christmas!” Our only other suggestion is to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, including comfy shoes, because we’ll be on our feet at the meal packing stations!

Should I Bring Anything With Me The Day Of The Outreach?

Thanks for asking 🙂 Yes – we’re collecting packages of new, adult socks on behalf of the New York City Relief Bus. These socks will be distributed to our homeless brothers and sisters in the region. Bring one (or two!) packages for donation on December 3rd.

Please note, we will only be collecting socks at our outreach locations and not at church on Sunday.
