This Fall, we can all use some encouragement. Truth be told, small acts of kindness can make a HUGE difference! Now is the time to remind our neighbors and communities that we are in this together. It’s time to #ServeSmallNJ – spreading hope and joy in time of crisis! Catch our vision below – we have lots of NEW ideas for you to get involved this Fall. Then, post your favorite #ServeSmallNJ moments to social media so we can see how you’re spreading small acts of kindness!

BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR: SPREAD FALL CHEER!

Go apple picking with your family and pick extra apples to bake with… Then, drop that pie off at your neighbor’s house to spread some local Fall cheer! Give elderly neighbors a call and check-in on them. Ask if you can place an online grocery order, grab them a pumpkin spiced latte as a sweet treat, or even pick-up their prescription medication at a local pharmacy.

SERVE A MEAL WITH NYC RELIEF

Our incredible outreach partners, New York City Relief, have never stopped serving food to our homeless and hungry brothers and sisters. Throughout the pandemic, this mobile outreach has consistently shown up for the homeless and hungry every. single. week. Opportunities to serve with Liquid Church at New York City Relief this Fall are now available – click here to sign-up.

DONATE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD TO A LOCAL FOOD PANTRY

COVID-19 has created financial instability for a lot of our friends and neighbors in New Jersey, and many across our state still face furloughs, joblessness and loss of income. That means we can expect our local food pantries will continue working hard this Fall to keep up with demand. You can help by making a donation of non-perishable food to your local pantry. We’re highlighting 6 food pantries in our region and have provided the details on where, when, and what to give. Click the button below to get started.

SUPPORT EDUCATORS

Who do you know that could likely use some encouragement in this season? We bet at least 1 teacher comes to mind! Go ahead and write them a card to remind them they’re appreciated. Nominate a beloved teacher to receive a Teacher Appreciation Kit from Liquid Church – we’re excited for the opportunity to provide teachers with some encouragement and morale-boosting goodies to support them through this unprecedented educational year. You can even sign-up to serve by assembling or distributing Teacher Appreciation Kits to help deliver encouragement right to teachers’ doorsteps. This is a great activity for families!

FACETIME A FRIEND

Grab your phone and reconnect with loved ones or friends, or reach out to someone who could use a friendly face. Sip on pumpkin spice lattes & virtually connect with friends or your Liquid Small Group from the comfort of your couch, favorite blanket in tow. Think about single friends or those with family far away who may be feeling particularly isolated this Fall.

PROVIDE A HEALTHCARE WORKER WITH A MEAL

Order dinner from a local restaurant and have it delivered to a healthcare worker serving long hours. The meal and the recognition will mean so much. Bonus – you’re supporting a local business!
