Volunteers Help Bring Meals, Shelter & Hope To Morris County

Love Week Meets The Market Street Mission In Morristown

Throughout Love Week, our volunteers in Morris County have a variety of opportunities to serve with the Market Street Mission in Morristown, New Jersey. The Market Street Mission “ministers to the homeless, helpless, and hopeless in Northern NJ” by meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through a structured program designed to enable clients to lead responsible, productive lives.

On Monday, October 31st, a team of 11 Liquid volunteers served at the Market Street Mission’s Thrift Store on George Street in Morristown, where donated items such as lightly used clothing, new and used furniture, houseware, appliances and more are sold at discount prices. All proceeds made by the Thrift Store go towards supporting the Mission’s various programs, including its Life Change recovery program.

Throughout Love Week, volunteers will also be making scarves and distributing coats at the Mission’s annual Coat Giveaway event, hosting Chapel Services, decorating the Mission’s facilities for Thanksgiving, and more!
