COLLEGE DARE DASH: FEBRUARY 5th

Is A Car Required To Participate?

You'll either need a car or someone to ride with in order to complete the dare challenges. For your safety, you are encouraged to ride with someone already in your quarantine circle.

Is Registration Required?

Everyone is welcome, but we’d love it if you would register in advance, even if you’re riding with a friend. Don’t worry, it just takes 60 seconds to sign-up.

Do I Have To Be Enrolled In College To Participate?

Nope - you just have to be “College-aged,” specifically, 18-22 years old. If you’re 23 or older, try out our Young Adults Meetup event.

I Can’t Get To The Event. Is There Something Online I Can Join?

Our College Ministry hosts events year-round and we alternate between physical and digital events, so there are definitely options to engage with us. Follow us on Instagram to stay in loop. You can also shoot us an email at College@LiquidChurch.com. Or - one way you can engage online right now and meet new people is by joining one of our College Groups.

And come prepared with open hearts, ready to listen. Check out this Marriage Night Resource for fun recipes and video suggestions for your kids.

Does Liquid Church Offer Marriage Counseling?

Liquid Church and its pastors do not personally provide Marriage Counseling. We do, however, think it’s an incredibly healthy and important step for couples to pursue counseling and are happy to provide a list of recommended Marriage Counselors for your consideration.

If you have questions about the event, we’d be happy to connect with you. Please email us at Marriage@LiquidChurch.com.

I’m Having Trouble Watching Marriage Night. Do You Have Tech Support?

We’re happy to address some of the most common questions we receive with online events to help you troubleshoot at home.

Why Is My Video Buffered, Choppy, or Frozen?

  • Check your network connection to be sure you are connected to the Internet. You can double check by trying another website.
  • Multiple users on your home network watching video at the same time may interfere with the quality of video streaming.
  • Test your bandwidth speed – www.speedtest.net. For the best viewing experience, your Download speed should be at least 2 Mbps.
  • If you’re watching on a computer, click on the settings gear and select a lower bitrate from the Video Quality drop-down menu located below the bottom-right corner of the video screen.
  • Try refreshing your browser.

Why Don’t I Hear Any Sound?

  • Adjust the volume on your computer and speakers.
  • Adjust the volume control located in the lower left corner of the video player.
  • Load a different video from the Internet to confirm your local settings. If you don’t hear audio, this confirms it’s a local issue with your device.
  • Try refreshing your browser.

Why Doesn’t The Video Play On My Smartphone?

  • Adjust the volume on your computer and speakers.
  • Adjust the volume control located in the lower left corner of the video player.
  • Load a different video from the Internet to confirm your local settings. If you don’t hear audio, this confirms it’s a local issue with your device.
  • Try refreshing your browser.

Why Is The Chat Feature Not Working?

  • Make sure you have logged into chat by providing your chat name.
  • Try refreshing your browser.
  • If you’re logging on Saturday or Sunday to watch On Demand, the chat feature is not available. Live Chat is only available during our live programming on February 12th.

AMAZING RACE PARENT-STUDENT EDITION: FEBRUARY 13th

Can Families Team Up With Each Other?

Nope! The idea is for individual families to compete separately from their friends - this creates the opportunity for both family bonding and friendly competition. Plus, it helps maintain social distancing boundaries for safety.

We Have Younger Kids, Can We Participate?

Due to the nature of the content, we strongly suggest you leave younger children at home, even if it means only one parent / grown-up can participate. Our goal is to set you up to have some mature and meaningful conversations with your children that are Middle School age or older.

Why Host An Event That Keeps Us In The Car?

Parents may already know this, but car rides lead to some of the best, organic conversations with their kids. And our event requires that parents and students both rely on and talk to each other in order to reach the finish line! Plus, kids (and parents) love competition and the potential of prizes. We think this is a great opportunity for family bonding.

How Long Is The Race And How Does It Work?

Event check-in opens at 10:00am - you’ll be given instructions plus some yummy road trip snacks at this time. The race itself starts promptly at 10:30am and will last 90 minutes. Families should meet us at Liquid Church in Parsippany (299 Webro Road) to check-in. The first family to reach the finish line wins! Please note that some challenges will have you getting out of your car and interacting with Liquid Church staff. Please be mindful to wear your masks and social distance.

Can I Invite My Friends To Join If They Don’t Go To Liquid?

Yes, of course! We’d love to host your friends. A little friendly competition is always fun! It’s important to note that we want families to participate separately (not as teams). The idea is for individual families to use this as a time of family bonding since both parents and students will need to rely on each other to have a shot at winning.

MATURE SINGLES MIXER: FEBRUARY 19th

I Saw The Age Bracket (35+). Is That A Hard Rule?

Yes, all participants in the Mature Singles Mixer must be at least 35 years of age. If you are younger and between the ages of 22 - 35, check out our Young Adults Meetup. As the name of the event implies, you must also be single. Our definition of single means that you are not married or currently separated from your spouseIf you feel weird about joining because your relationship status is murky, that’s a good indicator that you probably shouldn’t join the event.

Is The Whole Goal Of The Event To Make A Romantic Connection?

The goal is to meet other like-minded singles. This is a social community-building event. You’ll be meeting both guys and gals, and maybe you’ll meet your new bestie! While you may be interested in meeting your soulmate, we cannot guarantee any matrimonial proposals as a result of this event. Still, if you should get hitched as a result, we do request that you give Liquid Church full credit during the toast at your wedding ;-)

Is This Strictly For Christian Singles?

Liquid Church is a church so you can safely consider this a faith-based event! If you’re still trying to figure out who Jesus is and how He fits into your life, one of the best things you can do is connect with those that believe in Jesus, and our event is a great place for that. So, we welcome Christian singles and those still exploring their faith.

Is There A Code Of Conduct For The Event?

It’s pretty simple - as a participant of this event, you agree that you will conduct yourself in a friendly manner during the event and restrain from any tendencies that would make others feel uncomfortable, frightened, or creeped out. By opting-in to our event, you agree to keep it clean, keep it safe, have fun, and most importantly, be yourself.

Will You Share My Contact Information With Anyone?

Liquid Church will not share your personal contact information with any attendees. With that said, you will have the opportunity to reconnect with anyone you meet during the event, but only if you choose to do so. Now, how cool is that!

I Can’t Attend Any Longer, Who Should I Notify?

If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend the Mature Singles Mixer, please email us immediately at MatureSingles@LiquidChurch.com so that we can open up your spot.

YOUNG ADULTS MEETUP: FEBRUARY 26th

I Saw The Age Bracket (22 - 35). Is That A Hard Rule?

Yes. All participants of the Young Adults Meetup must be between the ages of 22 - 35 years old. This is a hard rule, based on our experience of certain people groups (who shall remain nameless) trying to get in under the radar. "I'm 48, but I swear, I don't look a day over 34." "But I'm, like, turning 22 in 9 months and 12 days!" Nope, sorry. If you are younger than 22, we have the perfect College Event for you. If you are older than 35 and single, check out our Mature Singles Mixer. You'll be glad you did.

Who Will Be Attending The Event?

Well, the idea is for Young Adults to attend! We have partnered with two churches for the event: Tapestry Church in Jersey City, NJ and Church @ The Springs in Ocala, FL, so we expect a fun crowd with plenty of new people to meet. Of course, anyone is welcome to join us and we’d encourage you to go ahead and extend an invite to your friends.
