GUEST FAQ

Night to Shine is a worldwide prom event for teens and adults ages 14 and older with special needs, sponsored by The Tim Tebow Foundation. The goal is to provide an unforgettable prom night experience for our guests and to change Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love, for people with special needs.

Night to Shine provides a red-carpet entrance for guests complete with a friendly welcome from paparazzi, limousine rides, hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas and, of course, a dance floor.

During Night to Shine 2018, 537 churches representing 33 denominations and 175,000 volunteers in 49 states and 16 countries came together on 1 night to celebrate 90,000 honored guests in what has become not just a nationwide event, but a worldwide movement, celebrating people with special needs. Night to Shine 2019 promises to be the biggest event yet!

This is a night not only for guests to shine, but for churches to shine, for volunteers to shine, and most importantly, for Christ to shine.

The prom hosted by Liquid Church will be held on Friday, February 8th, from 6:00 – 9:00pm. We are hosting 3 proms in 3 counties across New Jersey: In Morris, Union and Somerset County.

Exact event location details are as follows:

  • Liquid Church Broadcast Campus | 299 Webro Road, Parsippany
  • Union County Mountainside Campus | 1180 Spruce Drive, Mountainside
  • Bridgewater Marriott | 700 Commons Way, Bridgewater

Liquid has extended invitations to a number of groups, organizations, and individuals in our region who have special needs or serve those with special needs. If you would like to invite someone to attend, please have them visit our website for details and to register:

Each guest will receive the VIP treatment at Night to Shine from start to finish. This begins with the introduction of a personal “buddy,” who will attend to their every need throughout the event. Each guest will have the opportunity to get makeup and hair touch-ups from our very own glam squad at our Beauty Bar. They will walk the red carpet as friendly paparazzi snap pictures. Then, they can join others on the dance floor to celebrate! Finally, each guest will receive a crown or tiara because they are all kings and queens.

Meanwhile, caregivers will be treated to a delicious dinner on-site during the prom – a chance for deserving moms & dads to relax and socialize.

Guest registration is required. You can secure your place by filling out the registration form on our website: www.LiquidChurch.com/NightToShine

Our goal is to host 500 prom guests across our 3 locations – 300 in Morris County, 200 in Somerset County and 100 at our Union County Mountainside campus.

We also support the Special Olympics and Children’s Specialized Hospital in NJ.

In addition, on Sundays, we include children with special needs in our Liquid Kids and Middle School environments. In fact, Liquid has invested in a full-time Special Needs Inclusion Director and dedicated staff at our campuses to oversee our buddy program, in which we provide one-on-one care and programming for children with special needs during our Sunday church services.

At our Morris County Location, we offer a parent support group that meets on the 2nd Friday night of every month and in 2017, we installed a sensory gym designed especially for children with special needs at our Broadcast Campus in Parsippany. We also host “Parents’ Night Out” once a month in 2 locations, where parents of children with special needs can drop off ALL their children for 3-hours of free childcare. It’s a time for them to rest, rejuvenate, or run errands!
