Volunteer FAQ

Night to Shine is a worldwide prom event for teens and adults ages 14 and older with special needs, sponsored by The Tim Tebow Foundation. The goal is to provide an unforgettable prom night experience for our guests and to change Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love, for people with special needs.

Night to Shine provides a red-carpet entrance for guests complete with a friendly welcome from paparazzi, limousine rides, hair and makeup stations, shoe shining areas and, of course, a dance floor.

This past February, 655 churches representing 35 denominations and 200,000 volunteers in 50 states and 24 countries came together on one night to celebrate 100,000 honored guests with special needs in what has become not just a nationwide event, but a worldwide movement, celebrating people with special needs.

This is a night not only for guests to shine, but for churches to shine, for volunteers to shine, and most importantly, for Christ to shine.

The same incredible prom experience hosted by Liquid Church will take place on Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th from 6:00 – 9:00pm. We are hosting both of these proms at our Broadcast Campus in Parsippany.

The GPS address for this location is Liquid Church Broadcast Campus | 299 Webro Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054.

Liquid has extended invitations to a number of groups, organizations, and individuals in our region who have special needs or serve those with special needs. If you would like to invite someone to attend, please have them visit our website for details and to register: www.LiquidChurch.com/NightToShine

Each guest will receive the VIP treatment at Night to Shine from start to finish – they will even receive a crown or tiara, not just because they are all kings and queens of the prom, but because they are the children of the King of Kings. The evening begins with the introduction of a personal “buddy” who will attend to their every need throughout the event. Each guest will have the opportunity to get makeup and hair touch-ups from our very own glam squad at our Beauty Bar. They will walk the red carpet as friendly paparazzi snap pictures. Then, guests can join others on the dance floor to celebrate!

Our goal is to host 600 prom guests over the course of two nights – 300 guests each night.

There are over 1,400 volunteer opportunities to serve at this event! Roles such as paparazzi, hair & make-up, shoe shine, parking attendants, and of course…guest buddy. The best way to experience volunteering at Night To Shine is to serve as a buddy! Please note that volunteers must be High School age or older.

In 2020, we’re hosting 2 proms on 2 nights at our Broadcast Campus in Parsippany and we need YOU to truly make the evening a success! We hope that you’ll be able to serve with us. The only way to attend Night to Shine is via a volunteer role.

You can view volunteer roles and sign-up to serve at one of our two Night To Shine proms online. Please register at www.LiquidChurch.com/NightToShine

The only requirement to serve at Night to Shine is a DESIRE to support our friends with special needs! No prior experience working as a buddy is required. We will provide the information you need, as well as any applicable training.

We consider it an honor to be selected by The Tim Tebow Foundation as a partner for Night to Shine – a worldwide movement. Liquid Church has a heart to serve those in our community with special needs, and The Tim Tebow Foundation shares that passion. We are excited to partner with them and to host this spectacular event. Together, we are changing Valentine’s Day weekend from simply a celebration of love, to a celebration of God’s love for people with special needs.
