Garwood FAQs

Have questions about our Garwood Campus? Find quick answers below to help you plan your visit and feel right at home.

What kind of church is Liquid Church?

Liquid Church is a non-denominational Christian Church, which means everyone can join us. We are Bible-based, Christ-centered, and have a passion for God’s Word and loving others like Jesus. So whether you’re new to church, have been attending your entire life, or identify with another religion, you are welcome here. If you want to read about our Values & Beliefs click here.

What time are Sunday Services at Liquid Church in Garwood?

You are welcome to join us for Sunday Services at Liquid Church's Union County Garwood location at 9:30am and 11:30am. We offer kids programming at both services.

Where is Liquid Church Garwood located, and where do I park?

We are located at 213 Center Street in Garwood, NJ. Parking is available at parking lots along Center Street, such as the Garwood Post Office. Ample street parking is also available. You’ll see our parking team with bright yellow vests and Mickey Hands out on the sidewalks available to assist you.

What should I expect during my first visit to Liquid Church Garwood?

If you check out one of our New Jersey locations, the first thing you’ll probably notice is our parking team waving Mickey Hands… it’s so you know where to park and also it makes kids feel comfortable.

Once inside, stop by our Clean Water Cafe, for a free cup of coffee, which you can bring into the service. If you have kids, stop by Liquid Family  when you can check-in all your children– from birth to Middle School. We host age-appropriate programming that is very interactive and engaging.

Next, head into the auditorium for our service. Each Sunday service is about 75 minutes and begins the same way...with some energizing music from our worship teams. Then, our Campus Staff will step on stage to say hello. Each location has its own dedicated pastor and staff. And finally, one of our teaching pastors will share a relevant and inspiring message with practical tips for your life.

New guests are not singled out or made to stand up or raise their hands. We do offer you a gift – a free coffee tumbler, so feel free to get yours at our Welcome Center!

How long is the service?

Each service is approximately 75 minutes and includes worship music, a greeting and announcements from our local Campus Staff, and a message from our teaching pastor.

Is there a kids ministry or childcare at Liquid Church Garwood?

Yes! Our kids ministry is called Liquid Family and parents are encouraged to check their children into our classrooms each week. All Liquid Church locations offer our full Liquid Family programming from birth - Middle School. We have a custom curriculum for each age and stage. Each service in Liquid Family includes Bible lessons, worship music, activities, and games that will have your kids begging to come back to church!

All Liquid Family staff and volunteers undergo a thorough interview and background check process. We have protocols in place to make sure children are safe and secure when they’re in our care. Ultimately, it’s our goal to partner with parents to teach kids about Jesus in real and relevant ways, so they develop a faith that sticks!

If you’re planning your first visit to Liquid Church, we will collect some information about your family at our New Family Check-In. Go ahead and fill out our pre-registration form now to make your upcoming visit even easier! You can learn more about Liquid Family by clicking here, or learn about how we care for children with Special Needs by clicking here.

What is the music like at Liquid Church?

Each church service begins the same way...with some energizing music from our worship teams. Each Liquid Church location has its own Worship Leader and band who lead the congregation at each service. Fair warning - the volume is just loud enough so everyone is comfortable singing! We play contemporary Christian music, featuring songs from artists such as Elevation Worship, Bethel Music, Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, and more.

What should I wear to church?

There is no dress code at Liquid Church. We have a “come as you are” environment. That means you can wear flip flops and jeans and everyone is welcome! Whether you’ve never been to church before or you’re a Sunday regular, you’ll fit right in.

Will someone be available to answer my questions or provide prayer?

Absolutely! Feel free to stop by our Welcome Center at any Liquid Church location, and our team can answer any questions that you have. In addition, each location has its own Campus Pastor and staff, as well as a local prayer team that would be honored to speak with you and pray for you.

Will I be singled out as a first-time guest?

The short answer is–no! We will not ask you to stand up or raise your hand in church. You can sit and enjoy the service like everyone else. Lucky you–we do offer our new guests a free gift–a Clean Water Cafe Tumbler. So, feel free to see us in the lobby to get yours!

Do I have to give money if I attend your church?

At every Liquid Church service our local Campus Pastor will collect tithes and offerings from our congregation. It’s this generosity that enables us to serve the poor, feed the hungry, and reach those far from God. So, you will witness people giving money to our church. However, you do not have to give any money in order to visit our church. Giving is a personal choice and there is absolutely no pressure to participate in the offering moment.

I’m not sure if I believe in God. Will I be welcomed at your church?

Absolutely. There’s no special membership card necessary to walk in the door. Liquid is a non-denominational Christian Church, which means everyone can join us. No matter who you, where you’ve been, or what you believe, you’re welcome here. And don’t worry, you can be curious without making any commitments.

Do you serve coffee?

At Liquid Church, you’ll notice that we’re committed to keeping you caffeinated! So, stop by our Clean Water Cafe, and we’d love to treat you to a free cup of coffee, which you can bring into the service.
