Special Needs

It's our privilege and passion to serve children, teens, and adults with a wide variety of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, and ADHD. Please know that it’s our heart for every person to be supported to engage with their peers and feel a sense of belonging. We're also here to help parents receive much needed rest and resources.

High School

Groups, Teams & HSX

There are THREE incredible ways for High School students with special needs to get plugged in at Liquid Church. Mentorship Cohorts led by adult mentors help students grow their faith and skills. Dream Teams are a way to use your gifts and serve at church. And we can't forget The High School Experience (aka...HSX), which is a gathering of ALL our High School students for worship, live teaching, games, and food. Please fill out the inclusion form as a next step for any of these activities.

  • HSX is the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month from 5:30-7:30pm in Parsippany

  • Mentorship Cohorts meet seasonally for 5-6 week sessions across NJ

  • Dream Teams serve on Sundays at local campuses or midweek in Parsippany

High School

Small Groups

Each High School Small Group is led by adult mentors who will help you grow your faith, wrestle with the tough questions of life, and experience God in a personal way. If you're a High School student with special needs, we'd love to have you join us. Please fill out our inclusion form as a next step.

  • High School Groups meets on Sundays at 6:30pm at local campuses

  • High School Groups are offered during the school year

  • Students from all 7 Liquid Church locations participate in groups locally

Adults

Deaf Ministry

Where accessibility meets belonging.

Starting Sunday, June 14th, ASL interpretation will be available in the Upper Room of our Morris County Campus during the 10:30AM service—creating a fully accessible worship experience for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. With live interpretation, a dedicated seating section for clear visibility, and a welcoming community, this space is designed to help you fully participate, connect, and belong to our church community.

Interested in helping make this possible? If you know ASL or have a heart for the Deaf community, we’d love for you to join our volunteer Dream Team. Click the button below and select either the Prayer, Guest Connections or Next Steps team—and write “ASL Volunteer” in the comment box and we will reach out to you!

Parents

Parents' Support Group

Being the parent of a child with Special Needs is life-changing. And you are going to need Jesus and His strength to live out your God-given calling. In this group we will discover what it means to weep, worship, wait, and hope in the Lord amidst parenting's greatest challenges.

We have a Mountainside Group meeting Thursdays at 7pm. You can join at anytime! Please note our Parsippany Group is no longer meeting, and will resume in Fall 2026.
