Union County Spectrum All Stars Special Needs 16+ Friday Union County 20

The idea behind the Union County Spectrum All Stars is to have a place where children and young adults on the Autism spectrum can get together and parents can relax in a judgement-free environment in the hopes of fun and safe activities and a strong support group. Volunteers will connect with kids to young adults through music, crafts, and other activities promoting socialization. It’s guaranteed to be a great time for all involved! Special Olympics Special Needs 15+ Saturday Union County 20

The Special Olympics was founded on a mission to provide sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics New Jersey hosts more than 50 county competitions annually, which qualify athletes to advance to sectional and state competitions. Liquid volunteers are called upon to serve at these special events – cheering on contestants, handing out refreshments, and assisting athletes as they compete. Parent’s Night Out Special Needs N Friday Morris & Union Counties 8

“Parent’s Night Out” is hosted once a month on Friday nights in Morris County & Union Counties, in which parents of children with special needs can drop off ALL their children (infant to 13-years-old) for 3-hours of free childcare.

Every child, including siblings, is paired with a personal “buddy,” who will attend to their every need throughout the event. Volunteers will support activities for the kids games, crafts, movies, music and a bounce house. It’s a time for parents to rest, rejuvenate, or run errands! Sign Up Today

Buddy Ball Special Needs 15+ Saturday Middlesex County 20

Buddy Ball of Edison is a unique athletic organization that was formed in 1993 to give children with any special need a chance to participate in a variety of sports. Offerings include soccer, baseball, basketball, and bowling. Buddy’s are paired with athletes to help support and encourage during each athletic game. This is a family friendly serving opportunity, little ones can cheer, while older ones assist and encourage the athletes.  New dates coming soon.
